Nadeshda Stuerzebecher

Nadeshda Stuerzebecher is an academic artist, educator, and certified yoga teacher in the tradition of the Bihar School of Yoga. Her interdisciplinary work explores the interface between art, pedagogy, art therapy, and spirituality, with a particular focus on the therapeutic effects of sacred art and yogic practices.

Georgi Krastev

Georgi Krastev is a professional philologist and scholar of Esoteric Buddhism and tantric traditions, specialising in their Sanskrit sources and interested in their rituals and dissemination out of India through China and into Japan. He is particularly engaged with the relationship between East Asian spiritual traditions, such as Daoism, Esoteric and Zen Buddhism and martial culture and especially with its texts, tradition and development in Japan.

Outcome

This series of classes will offer a rigorous and tradition-informed introduction to the material presented in Yoga Nidra: Ascent into the Subconscious, as well as the philosophical roots, systematic, and contemporary relevance of the Yoga Nidra method.

  • Become familiar with the philosophical and historical foundations of yoga nidra

  • Be familiar with Svami Satyananda’s Yoga Nidra method and its eight stages

  • Have an overview of scientific research related to the practice
