Da Gong is more strenuous than soft qigong with moderately complex movements and positions. Once learned and applied this method is incredibly efficacious and the effects can be felt immediately. This course is appropriate for all skill levels and can be modified for purposes ranging from health benefits to martial fortitude.

An Ancient Exercise System

Instructors

Lindsey Wei

WEI CHENG LING 魏诚灵 Cheng Ling (Lindsey Wei) 24th generation Chun Yang Sect of Wudang Daoism, (Shi Ling, 魏世灵 31st generation Long Men Dragon Gate). Trained in the Wudang Mountains under her master Li Song Feng for 9 years.

Lindsey’s Wu Shu training began in 2004 at Beijing’s Capitol Sports University for 2 years. She had a rigorous and influential 2 month training experience in Dengfeng Shao Lin, near the Shaolin Temple. In 2006 she entered the study of internal Wudang Gongfu and trained full time in China for the next 6 years. By 2007 she was also immersed in the culture, philosophy and spiritual practices of Daoism, living in a remote Daoist temple with her Master. In 2008 she began organizing groups of students to train for 1-4 months at a time with her Master Li Song Feng in Wudang and has been taking trips annually ever since. She is one of the senior instructors under Li Shifu of the Five Immortals Temple. ​

Johan Hausen

Johan has a martial arts background which eventually brought him to the Five Immortals Temple where he spent more than 5 years under the tutelage of Li Shifu. There he studied a variety of subjects including taiji, longevity exercises, daoyin (guiding and leading of qi), alchemy, swordsmanship, martial arts, fengshui, Yi Jing (The Book of Changes) divination, Daoist healing, and entering the 24th Dragon Gate lineage. Johan currently works as a Chinese medicine practitioner, taiji and qigong teacher in a psychosomatic clinic near Cologne. He also co-founded Purple Cloud Press with the mission statement to preserve the ancient knowledge of China, especially in regards to medicine, martial arts and philosophy.
